Japan Airlines has decided to reintroduce fuel surcharge on all international tickets issued from October 1, with the passengers having to pay an additional $39 for travel on the India-Japan sector.
The JAL Group has sought the approval of the Japanese government to “reinstate the placement of fuel surcharge on all international passenger tickets issued from October 1, 2009,” an airline spokesperson said in a statement from Tokyo.
The airline had removed fuel surcharge on tickets issued between July 1 and September 30.
