People traveling by air can now feel a bit more secure about their luggage as the Central Industrial Security Force has started a project to help passengers trace lost valuable like laptops, mobiles and jewellery.
Each year , goods worth crore of rupees are misplaced at airports across the country .In most cases, the passengers forget to pick up their items before boarding flights. Now, the CISF would upload details on its website www.cisf.gov.in to inform about lost and found goods at the airport manned by it and deposited with the airport operators. The ownership would be established only on proof about the goods. The details of the relevant contact persons whom a passenger could approach to claim the belongings would also be uploaded.
