Dubai-based luxury hotel chain Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts recently appointed Delhi-based OM Tourism as its sales and marketing representation for the Indian market. OM Tourism will engage in the marketing and promotion of the brand in the country and will work towards increasing sales for the Group from the Indian market. OM Tourism will appoint two dedicated representatives in Delhi and Mumbai to attract visitors from these markets. The hotel chain recognises India as a key growth region to generate business for Jumeirah’s properties worldwide.
The representation company is presently in the process of finalising its promotional and marketing strategy for the brand in the Indian market. It will focus on positioning Jumeriah as a premium brand in the Indian market to attract high-end lesiure and MICE segment. The company will also focus on promoting Dubai and the Jumeirah properties as experiential products to the Indian market. This will help drive families to explore the properties. In the past two years, the company has seen a significant growth from the high-end Indian outbound market, despite the slowdown.
“This development comes in tune with the company's expansion plans globally. Currently, Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts has properties around the world in various stages of development. We expect India to be a strong source market for the existing, as well as new hotels. Hence, our association with OM Tourism will significantly help us establish the brand in the Indian market,” opined Samantha Dancy, Corporate Communications Manager, Jumeirah Group.
“The Jumeirah brand will add significant value to the Indian outbound travellers in the high- end segment. Jumeirah's properties, as well as Dubai as a destination can offer a different experience to the same traveller in every visit. We also plan to promote the properties extensively to the wedding segment with growing demand of overseas weddings in the country,” stated Sanjay Sondhi, President, OM Tourism.
