domestic routes, singleway air fares for last-minute tickets to destinations like Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai etc have crossed the Rs 10,000-mark. On Wednesday afternoon, airfares for late evening tickets on the Mumbai-Delhi sector began at Rs 6,300 on low-cost airlines.

The global police organization Interpol began issuing special passports on Wednesday to its senior investigators, aimed at allowing them to enter any of the group’s 188 member countries to accept the new documents and three more will follow soon, the Interpol Secretary-General, Mr. Ronaid K.Noble, said during the organization’s general assembly here. He said he is sure the remaining member countries will also honor these passports.

The long taxiing time taken by domestic flights using the new runway will hopefully see an end soon. The mixed mode use of runways, under which domestic flights will use the main runway and international flights will use the new runway. Will be fully implemented probably by October 23, bringing an end to the extra 25-30 minutes that domestic passengers spent on ground before their flights took off.

There were less F1 student visas for the US issued across India in financial year 2009 (Oct 08-Sep 09) than the previous Where Re comes from & goes NRI investments in India Forex Converter FY08. In fact, 25,860 issuances in FY09 actually translates into a whopping 25% decline over 34,510, which was the number issued last year.
