According to an IANS report, the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) has announced that Medical Tourism has now been included under the Marketing Development Assistance (MDA) scheme, under which Medical Tourism service providers will be given financial assistance. MoT has sanctioned Rs 12.47 lakh as MDA to ten Medical Tourism service providers for the current year.

"About a dozen flights, both of Jet and Kingfisher, were delayed by an hour to three hours. While Air India, almost after a fortnight, managed to maintain their schedule," an airport official said.
