According to an IANS report, the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) has announced that Medical Tourism has now been included under the Marketing Development Assistance (MDA) scheme, under which Medical Tourism service providers will be given financial assistance. MoT has sanctioned Rs 12.47 lakh as MDA to ten Medical Tourism service providers for the current year.

Private carrier Kingfisher Airlines has reduced its September quarter losses by 45 per cent to Rs 231 crore as against a loss of Rs 418.77 crore in the same quarter a year ago. Delay in flights and baggage delivery continued to hit the operations of Jet, Air India and Kingfisher's domestic flights at the swanky new terminal 3 (T3) of the IGI airport in New Delhi on Monday. "About a dozen flights, both of Jet and Kingfisher, were delayed by an hour to three hours. While Air India, almost after a fortnight, managed to maintain their schedule," an airport official said.
